Current Devon Rescues
Buddy and Ciro
Buddy is the more active of the
two. He likes to explore and venture into every corner of the
house. He is learning that countertops, tables, and potted plants
are off limits. He loves a warm lap and demands attention,
just like a typical Devon. He seems to be a dominant cat as related
to the four permanent residents of the foster home, but has caused no harm to
any of them.

Buddy and Ciro are two
neutered, 9-year-old brothers. They are both friendly and curious and love
attention from adults and respectful children, even toddlers. They have
good appetites (a little too good) and excellent litter box habits. They are
living with a dog in their foster home and they either avoid or ignore him.

 Cirro
Although his bald spots make him look
like an old man, his wavy Devon coat is a beautiful color
|
Ciro is a laid back kind of
guy. He likes to sleep on or near people and always wants to be around
whatever human is available. He has a sensitive stomach, but is
doing well on a no grain dry food.

Both boys are up to date on vaccines,
FIV and FeLV negative, just had their teeth cleaned, and are in good overall
health. Buddy and Ciro are bonded and must be placed together. They are
being fostered in Maryland and we would like to place them within driving
distance of the Washington, DC area.

Gracie
Gracie just celebrated her tenth birthday, but you wouldn’t
know it if you watched her play. She slides into piles of newspapers stacked
neatly on the floor, pushes her favorite turquoise donut bed from one side of
the room to the other, carries her toys around to the area of the room that
suits her best at the moment, and perks up from a full sleep at the sound of
birds and nearly flies to the balcony door to investigate. She’s recently been
vetted and is in good health, up to date on vaccines, and FeLV/FIV negative.
Gracie has perfect litter box habits. She eats well and is currently having her
food limited to help her lose 2 pounds so she can return to her younger svelte
self. This “diet” doesn’t seem to
bother her except first thing in the morning when she will dance around on the
bed and lick the blanket to let you know that she is ready to eat.
Gracie has never lived with other animals and has had little
experience with people other than her former owner. She is doing well in her
foster home with no other animals and it took her less than a week to warm up
to her foster mom. She will do best as an only pet or with one other cat and a
quiet household with someone who has experience working with shy cats. She
might actually love having a playmate since she is so playful. Gracie has a
gorgeous black coat and beautiful gold eyes. She is being fostered in Maryland
and we would like to place her within driving distance of the Washington, D. C.
area.
